Vincristine sulfate

Specification:USP31 Description: A white or almost white crystalline powder; odourless; hydroscopic; darkens gradually on exposure to light or heat. Action and indications: Vincristine sulfate is an alkaloid extracted from Vinca rosea. As a cell cycle specific drug, it can inhibit growth of neoplasm and formation of proliferating cell spindle, as a result, mitosis is stopped at its metaphase . Clinically, it is similar to vinblastine sulfate with better effects, however, no cross tolerance is found between the two drugs. It has better effect in the treatment of various acute leukemia,especially acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In addition, it has some effect for malignant lymphoma , chorioepithelioma, breast carcinoma, neuroblastoma, nephroblastoma, brain tumour, lung cancer , leiomyosarcoma, cervix cancer and alimentary tract tumor. Storage: Preserve in tightly closed containers, stored in a cool place and protected from light.
